apply for student visa canada |
International
students who wish to study in Canada must apply for a study visa or a study
permit.
You must
apply directly online via the following link: Immigration and Citizenship
Canada website. The student can submit a paper application, but the electronic
application is considered faster than the paper application.
You can
apply for a study visa once you have received a study acceptance from an
accredited Canadian university.
Check eligibility
You will be
asked to fill out a short question form to check eligibility for a study visa.
You will ask about the reasons for studying in Canada, the country of residence
and some other personal questions. After completing the form, you will get a
result indicating whether you are eligible for a study visa or not.
You will be
asked to answer some other short questions if you are proven eligible for a
student visa. These questions are about your security record, about your family
members and their companions to Canada, and about financial aid. You can check
your answers after you have completed them and make adjustments to them.
After
completing these questions, you will be assigned a reference code, a checklist
of documents you need to collect as part of the study application (these
documents are in English or French, the two official languages of Canada),
useful links to fill out the application and other instructions. The reference
code is very important, so you should keep it on one of your notebooks (or
print the page below that code).
What documents will I need?
These
documents differ from case to case. All students are required to obtain a
letter of acceptance from an accredited Canadian educational institution.
Depending on the country in which the student resides, some students are
required to provide information about biometric data such as fingerprints and
photos. You may be asked to have a medical examination. The student will not
receive a study visa if it is proven that he has a security record or criminal
record. Therefore, the student may be required to submit a certificate proving
that he does not have any criminal records. Like other countries that require
many documents and papers, such as submitting a financial account statement
that proves that there is a sufficient amount of money to cover the costs of
study and the costs of living during the study from a bank and a bill proving
leave the study or housing fees or a paper proving that you have obtained a
scholarship or financial aid Currently, the student must prove that there is an
amount of CAD 10,000 per year to prove that it can cover fees and living costs.
Submission of the application
You must
register for an electronic key known as the key. This key gives you electronic
access to the online electronic application service, where you can apply through
this page.
You must
upload the necessary documents, review the application, pay the fees online
using a credit card and submit the application. You will receive an instant
message indicating that your application has been successful and that you will
receive a confirmation to your account.
You will get
an application letter (and sometimes a temporary resident visa) once your
application has been approved. You must present this visa in addition to a
valid passport at the Canadian border control. You must also show the original
documents or copies of the application for the study. The student then obtains
a study visa and is entitled to enter Canada once the Border Controller
approves those papers and makes sure they are correct.
How much
does a study visa in Canada cost?
The cost of
a study visa in Canada is approximately 150 Canadian dollars. But this is the
base price, the price may be a little higher by the time you upload the
documents and review the application. The price of the visa will be determined
prior to the payment and submission of the application.
Are any
interviews needed before obtaining a visa?
In some
cases you may be required to attend an interview in person at your local
Canadian visa office. If you need to, you will get more information about it.
